Most Washington employees must be paid overtime if they are paid an hourly wage and work more than 40 hours in a work week. Overtime, should be calculated at one and one-half times the worker’s regular hourly pay rate.

Washington law requires that employees be allowed a paid 10-minute rest period for each four hours worked.
