What is minimum wage?
Rhode Island minimum wage is $7.40 per hour.

What is the minimum wage for tipped employees?
Rhode Island tipped employees and wait staff may be paid at least $2.89 per hour if the amount of tips received brings the total hourly wage up to the applicable minimum wage. If it does not, an employer must make up the difference in cash.

When am I eligible to earn overtime?
Rhode Island non-exempt employees must be paid time and one-half their regular pay rate for hours worked over 40 in a work week

Am I entitled to a lunch or rest break?
For eligible employees, a 20-minute meal period must be given during a six-hour shift, and a thirty-minute meal period must be given during an eight-hour shift.
