What is North Carolina minimum wage?
The minimum wage in North Carolina is $7.25 per hour.

What is the minimum wage for tipped employees in North Carolina?
In North Carolina, tipped employees can be paid an hourly wage of $2.13, as long as the employee's tips bring the total hourly wage up to the state minimum wage.

When am I eligible to earn overtime?
Employees must be paid at time and one-half the employee's regular rate of pay for any hours worked in excess of 40 in a workweek.

It does not matter if an employee is part-time or full-time for overtime eligibility to apply. Overtime pay is based on if an eligible employee works more than 40 hours in a workweek.

Am I entitled to a lunch or rest break?
North Carolina does not require employers to provide a rest break or meal break for anyone who is 16 years of age or older.
