What is minimum wage?
Montana minimum wage is $7.65 per hour.

What is the minimum wage for tipped employees?
Montana state law does not allow a tip credit. The minimum rate is the same for tipped and non-tipped employees.

When am I eligible to earn overtime?
Eligible Montana employees should receive a premium rate if they work more than 40 hours in a workweek. Eligible Montana employees are eligible to be paid at least 1.5 times your regular hourly wage for all overtime hours worked. Montana does not have a daily limit of hours an employee can work in one day.

Am I entitled to a lunch or rest break?
Montana does not require employers to provide lunch or rest breaks. However, employees eligible to federal wage and hour protections must be paid for any interrupted meal or lunch breaks.
