What is minimum wage?
Kentucky minimum wage applies the federal rate of $7.25 per hour.

What is the minimum wage for tipped employees?
The minimum wage in Kentucky for tipped employees is $2.13 per hour, as long as the tips they receive plus their wage add up to at least the minimum wage for each hour of work. If it does not the employer must make up the difference.

When am I eligible to earn overtime?
Kentucky does not have state overtime laws, so many employees can generally be covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), which mandates that employees receive overtime pay at time-and-a-half their regular rate when they work over 40 hours in a work week.

Am I entitled to a lunch or rest break?
You are entitled to a rest period of at least 10 minutes during each four hours you work. The rest period is a paid break.
