Panda Garden kitchen employees file wage and hour lawsuit

Panda Garden wage and hour allegationsRestaurants may never want to reveal their secret ingredients, but when employees are treated unfairly the word gets out at some point. One Houston restaurant’s practices are being revealed, and the sight isn’t pretty. The secret sauce here appears to be wage and overtime violations.

Case in point

Panda Garden in Houston investigated for FLSA complaints

Our firm is currently investigating wage and hour claims at several Panda Garden restaurants in Houston, Texas.

Allegations of wage and hour violations include:

  • Minimum wage violations;
  • Overtime pay violations;
  • Employer not providing time sheets, pay stubs, or any record of hours worked – a violation of the FLSA’s record-keeping provision for employers;
  • No formal tracking of hours, no system in place for employees to clock in or clock out.

Nature of the Violation

The complaints include that Panda Garden required and permitted employees to work over 40 hours a week, but did not pay employees federally-mandated minimum wage or overtime pay. The employees worked in the kitchen preparing food, plating food, and performed various kitchen duties.

Employees of Panda Garden can contact our office toll-free.
