Los Angeles celebrity restaurant lawsuit for overtime and meal break violations

Hollywood restaurant workers declare wage war on 300 Movie Star Gerard Butler. Shield and muscle are no match for Wage and Hour laws.

Two former employees claim Los Angeles Korean restaurant cheated employees out of overtime wages, rest time and meal breaks under the overtime and wage laws.

Actor Gerard Butler is being sued by employees at Shin BBQ, a restaurant in Hollywood owned by Butler and several other actors, who claim the restaurant owes unpaid overtime and report other wage violations. A former cook and a dishwasher at Hollywood restaurant Shin BBQ are claiming that the owners did not pay them overtime for their hours worked.

The workers claim that the Korean restaurant Shin BBQ:

  • failed to pay them for their overtime, and
  • cheated employees out of correct wages for rest periods and meal breaks.

The former employees filed the overtime suit last week in Los Angeles Superior Court. Shin BBQ is owned by several actors, including That '70s Show stars Laura Prepon and Danny Masterson, Malcolm in the Middle actor Chris Masterson, and Steve Aoki, the son of Benihana's owner.
