Under the Fair Labor Standards Act, employers are required to keep accurate time records of their employees, but many times employers fail to keep these time records. A new way to track your hours is through Apple's new iPhone app.The new app, called Timesheet, allows you to input your work hours and it will calculate the amount you may be owed by your employer. The new app can also calculate your overtime pay at one and one-half times (1.5) the regular pay rate for all hours you work over 40 in a workweek.
iPhone users should take advantage of this new app to make sure you are being paid your correct wages and overtime rate. Many employees in every industry fall victim to wage and overtime violations, no industry is immune.
